What is a Medicare Consult?
Medicare consults are available to those clients who have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from their GP.

What is a Private Consult?
A Private Consult is available to anyone who wishes to meet with a Parent Child Therapy psychologist but does not have or wish to use a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). A GP referral is not required. A rebate may be available if the person has the relevant private health insurance cover.

How many people can attend a Group Program?
A Group Program consists of 4-10 people.
How long are the consultations?
Each individual consultation is scheduled for approximately 55 minutes.

Can I make an appointment without seeing a GP?
Yes. You can have a Private appointment.

Do you see WorkCover, TAC or DVA clients?
Yes. Parent Child Therapy psychologists are all registered with these bodies. You will however require a referral from your GP and / or the funding body. Please call us to enquire.

How many Medicare rebatable sessions can I have?
10 Medicare rebatable consultations per calendar year as long as you have a current GP MHTP. The MHTP is valid for 12 months from the date you first got it. There is no out of pocket expense if you are being bulk billed.

How do I pay for my non-bulk billed sessions?
Payments can be made by cash, eftpos using a debit or credit card or processed electronically by your therapist (an admin fee applies here).

How do I get my Medicare rebate for my non-bulk billed sessions?
The clinic will process your Medicare rebate after you pay in full for your consultation. Medicare will then deposit the rebate back into your preferred bank account within 24 to 48 hours?
